Not just for boys!

Just received this book in the mail. Shipping was insanely fast! And, the book was in perfect, like-new condition. An excellent bargain!

I wish the publisher made this book with color pages, but oh well (lol). And i definitely wish this was named the KID'S Book of Spycraft. (What were they thinking?)
But this is still the best book ever for kids that want to be spies and detectives. My kiddo is going to love this for HER birthday!

I have gotten several Kindle books from Baby Professor and most of them I have really enjoyed. This particular product is meant for first graders and it is about the early Pilgrims of America. The book starts off with short, simple explanations of what a pilgrim is and who the Pilgrims are that we always talk about. There are very cool illustrations in this book. The book also explains why they were called “Separatists” and how they left on their journey across the Atlantic Ocean. The book goes over the Mayflower Compact and what it meant to the Pilgrims. Then it talks about the first Thanksgiving feast – although it glosses over a lot of details with that. I have a child in kindergarten and a child in first grade. I think this is a cute book to start a discussion, but it’s pretty simplified for a first grader. Of course this book isn’t meant to be an entire history book or anything like that. When the Thanksgiving season comes around you could easily use this as a supplement to talk about the Pilgrims and look at some of the pictures. There are pictures of the homes they probably lived in and pictures of ships, and drawings of the Pilgrims and the Indians that are very interesting. I wish the pictures told more details. I wish that the drawing of the Pilgrims would say who the artist was. Then we could go more into detail and look up more by that artist. I wish that the picture of the boat would tell where that picture was taken. Was that the actual ship that the Pilgrims took? Is it just a random ship in a harbor? I have no idea, so don’t know what to tell my children. All in all this is a cute supplemental book but you will have to add a lot to it to make it worth it for a first grader or above, in my opinion. I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest review.

This book belongs to Baby Professor (Speedy Publishing) 1st Grade Collection. It is an good introductory book with plain, simple and basic knowledge for any small children to learn either at home or school. These kind of books can spark an interest that may continue on for several days or weeks.

This particular book deals about America's first pilgrims as a short and concise book pertaining to our earliest settlers. It has lovely illustrations and photos that can be discussed with children while reading this book. The concepts included about the Pilgrims, their reasons to travel to American Soil and the following is something to consider and to discuss with children as well.

Great book, I did like it a lot and I do recommend to anyone.

1st grade American history

I have a kindergartener and a 3rd grader which for me we have been battling public vs home schooling. I have been doing extra things for them here at home because at public schools they do not get that one on one attention they need in any subjects they may need. I try and find books and learning equipment via the Kindle app or books. I like the Kindle books because you do not have to worry about what page you were on all your tablets, phones, etc can all be synced so you can see where your child is at. This book is super easy to read and has even some information my daughter who is in 3rd grade didn't know. I like how detailed it is as well.

Too slow and randomly written; poor teaching tool

This book assumes students of French cannot learn rules of grammar. It is a slow, plodding work that teaches by memorization. It does not start out, for example, with the rules for determining the gender of French nouns. If you do not know the gender of a noun, you cannot figure out the articles, etc., that go with the word. There are occasional "rules" in the lessons, but they are not organized in a coherent fashion. This book is suited to people who have no capacity for learning rules of grammar, and who have oodles of time to kill.

Very disappointing.

It is the number of errors in this book that I find so frustrating! It seems obvious that no one took the time to proofread it. I picked up this book to do some french revision and by the time I got up to lesson 8, was ready to throw it in the trash. Accent marks are used only sporadically (sometimes ecrire, sometimes �crire...) They especially seem to have problems with "la rue Whitehall". In the french text, It appears as "la Whitehall street"!
The pluralization errors have been irritating, too. If this is intended to teach a beginning student proper French, I feel it will do nothing but confuse him/her.
I do NOT recommend this book.

About the Author
Allan Robbins, B.Sc., M.Sc., was an instructor at Red River College in Winnipeg, Manitoba, where he taught numerous courses in the Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology Department prior to his retirement. He has served both as section chair and treasurer of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and as treasurer of the Electronics Industry Association of Manitoba. Robbins is also a former director of training, industrial applications, for Microelectronics Center. He holds bachelor and master of science degrees in electrical engineering.

Wilhelm Miller, Dipl T, B.Sc., taught numerous courses in the Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology Department at Red River College in Winnipeg, Manitoba, where he also served as chair of the department. Miller has served as president of the Certified Technicians and Technologists Association of Manitoba (CTTAM) and is currently chair of the Canadian Technology Accreditation Board (CTAB). He holds a diploma of technology in electronics and a bachelor of science degree in physics/mathematics.

One of the best books on circuits analysis

This is really on of the best college books on electronic and electrical theory books I have read and has some of the best explainations I have seen. He also gives really great examples. For Electrical or Electronis engineers working in the field this books is a must. The work books has many great study projects to make you an expert. You can become a College teacher

Great introduction to basic circuit anaysis

This book has an interesting way to explain electronics. It is not too complicated for a non-engineer to understand. It does briefly mention a few engineering concepts such as finding current by taking the derivative of the voltage time the Capacitance.
This book seems to cover all the basic AC DC circuits involving RCL circuits while hitting on some basic calculus (Which you don't even need to understand to use the book.) You will need to know trig and basic algebra.
I had no problem understanding any of the material up until chapter 19 and especially in chapter 20. These two chapters are where the real circuit analysis began. It was kind of confusing to know how to go about solving certain circuits especially the ones using dependent sources. Finding the current directions was probably the most difficult thing to determine. But the more I did the problems the more it started to make sense.

Clear and Concise

This book takes alot of very hard topics to get your mind around and makes them very easy to understand. The book is good to know cover to cover and all the information in it can be used anywhere from the feild of computer's to electrical distribution. It's a great book to give you a solid basic understanding of electricity and how it's used.

First Hour Trading (firsthourtrading.com) is a day trading chat room that I lead each morning. We focus on two specific stocks each morning. These two stocks are picked among thousands of possible stocks because they have a high probability of earning a nice return in a short amount of time. Members in this chat room are told the stocks picks before the market opens each day, so they are ready for action. Then, I give a sound in the chat room to signify my entry on the trade. I provide a target exit price. And then I issue another sound when I am exiting the trade. Members simply copy my actions. Given this opportunity, members can often make enough money in the first few minutes of the trading day to take the rest of the day off. You don't have to sit at the computer all day, grinding out trade after trade. Just take and copy my high probability system and entries, and you walk away with the profit. It doesn't get much easier than this.

Morning Hours Trading (morninghourstrading.com) is a chat room that focuses on the morning gaps each day. This room is led by my good friend Bob Joiner. For three hours each morning, Bob focuses on 3 to 5 stocks and gives his entries, targets, and stops for those trades. After getting into the trade, he gives ongoing analysis of each trade so that members can make their own decisions about the exact exit for the trades.

The title is 100% misleading

This book is NOT about "high probability" or "strategies and systems" it is an amalgamation of common indicators and basic commonly available information on day trading.

Bummer.

Look at Keith Fitschen, Perry Kaufman, Joe Kurt, Tom DeMark if you want actionable, well researched and useful information about trading systems, not this "book".

This book is not about strategies and systems, as you might think after reading its title. It is rather an introduction to daytrading. It tells you that you need s system and strategy. It shows one sample strategy and gives general guidance, how to create your own strategy. Might be good for beginners, but title should be changed. On the other hand, you get what you paid for
