Sandra's View "Not Dark enough for me"

The books had 2037 locations on my kindle. The book was about a girl, named Rose and her stepbrother David. Rose was a young girl, who had been raised in abusive environment, and currently involved in an abusive relationship. David was a criminal and a killer, with moments of memory lapses. The book contained some hot, detailed, descriptive, sex and oral sex. I wasn't too thrilled with the characters. David was not dominant enough for me. He had his moments, but over all he acted like an obsessed, love sick boy. The Rose character readily fell at David's feet and had sex with him, the moment, the 2 of them are reunited. There is no build up, just instant love, sex, a bit of drama, the end.

I just finished the complete series which made for a really short read. I'm glad I didn't do the installments but lucked out and got the Psycho Stepbrother complete series on kindle unlimited. The story was surprisingly well written but was short on pertinent details like ; what makes David insane? Is he really experiencing psychotic breaks and does the author even know what that is.
The story also lacked a supportive backstory to help readers understand how every body got where they are and what exactly Dave and his crew do to make so much money. I get that he's a high level criminal but why was it so easy for a low rate thug to break into his house and capture him??? There's an epilogue so I guess that means the story is over but what a lot of gaps and holes!
